Position: Quality Control Engineer – EES Div.

Location: Vatwa, Ahmedabad.

Educational Qualifications : B.E/ B.Tech Mechanical/MetallurgyEngineering Preferred

Diploma and other discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Comp, etc.) engineers need not apply. BBA, BA, BCom also need not apply.

Desired Experience: 5 -8 years & above in industry catering to manufacturing of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Piping & Industrial Burners, Boilers.
Familiar with All type of Manufacturing Codes & Standards, Welding & Welder Qualifications, Hydro Testing, Pneumatic Testing, Stage wise inspection (TPI).

Desired Technical Subject matter expertise: Using codes & standards such as ASME, EN, IS, API etc.
NDT level – II in UT, RT, PT, VT. Welding course like ASME, CSWIP will be added advantage.

Desired Commercial subject matter expertise: Outsourcing laboratory test for raw material & instrument.
Familiar with Third parties for CE certification, ISO certification, quality audits, HSE Rules & Regulations,

Desired Soft Skills: : Communication skill, leadership ability to manage customer Quality team during Shop floor inspection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as anindependent decision maker for each and every project assigned and clear the incoming material in the same day or next day positively through oracle.
  • Preparation of Inspection Test Plan/Quality Assurance Plan as per project requirement.
  • Preparation of Inspection Report – Incoming, Inprocess, Final & Sub-Vendor place Inspection.
  • Maintain of Instrument Calibration within due date.
  • Check and implement WPS, PQR, and WPQ.
  • Work Instruction to be prepared as per the requirement.
  • Co-ordination with customer for inspection as per QAP.
  • Responsible for final AS Built drawings in consultation with Production Engineer.
  • Preparation of Packing Slip in consultation with production.
  • Identification of final product by providing name plates, stickers, Tag etc.
  • Preparation of Quality documents based on ISO 9001:2015.
  • Responsible to obtain inspection clearance from customer prior to dispatch.
  • Generate NCR for non-conformity material and ensure to close the same in the committed period & keep a status for the NCR.
  • Review of documents (Internal Inspection Report, TC’s) through customer and TPI.
  • Prepare Weld Map for radiography, RT film interpretation.
  • Material testing for Chemical & Physical for traceability.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Inspection of weld joint preparation.
  • On job training for welders for procedure qualification.
  • Blasting & Painting inspection.
  • Inspection at various vendor place for bought out items.
