Position: Design Engineering - Mechanical & Process – EES Div.

Location : NaviMumbai

Educational Qualifications : B.E/ B.Tech Mechanical, Chemical, Diploma and other discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation, Production, Comp,etc.) engineers need not apply. BBA , BA, BCom also need not apply.

Desired Experience : 6 – 10 years is a must

Desired Technical Subject matter expertise: Combustion Technologies, Heat and mass transfer, Thermal design Calculation Oil& Gas fired Burners, Thermal Combustors, Oxidizers, Incinerators, waste to energy solutions, Flue Gas Cleaning Technologies, Basic Instrumentation

Desired Commercial subject matter expertise: Estimation and costing. Execute within cost.

Desired Soft Skills: Eye for detail.Ability to understand lengthy customer technical specification which are part of the contract and ensuring compliance to the same while design engineering.Ability to challenge status quo with innovative out of the box ideas.Standardization wherever possible for future repeatability.

Key Responsibilities:

The post order execution team will consist of project engineer, design engineer – Mech& Process and instrumentation engineer. As a part of this team your responsibility will include.

Basic Mechanical & Process Design:
  • Responsible for GA drawings, fabrication drawings, P & ID’s, all buy out data sheets,
  • Lead the instrumentation team member and ensure that he delivers all instrumentation and automation data sheets, loop diagrams, control philosophy, cable schedule etc.
  • Lead the assigned mechanical draftsman for various drawing preparation.
  • Follow the design engineering SOP in terms of the approval process internally.
  • Ensure close coordination with the project manager for submission of various drawings and data sheets to the customer for their approval and achieving manufacturing clearance.
  • Issue of drawings for IN house manufacturing to the shop floor and issue of material requisition with technical approved data sheet to procurement. Work closely with procurement for technical bid evaluations of various buy outs.
  • Shall be responsible for “ Engineered to optimized cost and engineered first time right”
  • Coordinate with in-house quality team to submit our QAP inline with customer’s contractually accepted inspection and test plan (ITP) and get the same approved from the customer.
  • Be present during customer FAT at our works and ensure that we get an inspection clearance certificate while working in close coordination with project and quality team.
  • Responsible for final AS Built drawings, O & M manual as well as the entire project documentation as contractually agreed.
Supervision of Erection & Commissioning:
  • You also would be responsible for final commissioning of all the projects orders engineered by you.
  • Prepare E & C check list and get the same validated from the customer through the project team.
  • Lead the instrument engineer at site for completion of all site related activities.
  • Responsible for successful site acceptance test (SAT) and demonstrating performance guarantees (PGT).
  • Handing over of site to the customer so as to initiate the Zero date of our warranty period.
  • Conversant with HSE standards to be followed at site.
  • Customer training for future plant operation and maintenance of our supplied equipment.
  • Responsible for the cost and the time control of our E & C activities in close coordination with the project manager.
